Why is it important to preach Christ?

Preaching Christ is the core of the Christian faith as He embodies the Word made flesh (John 1:14). The message of the Gospel is centered around who Jesus is and what He accomplished for humanity’s salvation. Paul emphasizes this when he instructs Timothy to focus on Christ and His truth. By preaching Christ, a preacher ensures that the congregation hears God's ultimate revelation and the only means of reconciliation with God. All that Scripture contains points to Christ, affirming His essential role in salvation and the believer's life.
