Why is it important to preach for the conversion of the elect?

Answered in 1 source

Preaching for the conversion of the elect is essential as it is the means through which God brings His chosen people to faith.

The conversion of the elect is of utmost importance in preaching because Scripture teaches that God's chosen people will be saved through the proclamation of the gospel. In 2 Timothy 2:10, Paul emphasizes enduring all things for the elect's sake so that they may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus. While we are commanded to preach to all, we do so knowing that among them are those whom God has predestined for salvation. Our role is to faithfully share the message, trusting God to use the gospel to convict and convert His elect, thus fulfilling His sovereign plan.
