Why is it important to remain in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Remaining in Christ is essential for spiritual safety and assurance of salvation, as outside Him there is only condemnation.

The necessity of abiding in Christ is echoing through scripture, particularly in John 15:4-5, where Jesus explains that apart from Him, we can do nothing. Abiding in Him protects believers from the seductive influences that tempt them to seek validation or hope outside of Christ. According to 1 John 2:28, when He appears, those who abide in Him will have confidence, and there will be no shame or fear in the day of judgment. Thus, abiding in Christ ensures our security, acceptance, and bears fruit in our lives, showcasing the importance of this doctrine for every believer.
