Why is it important to share the good news according to the sermon?

Answered in 1 source

Sharing the good news is vital as it acknowledges God's blessings and encourages others to seek His deliverance (2 Kings 7:9-10).

The sermon emphasizes that sharing the good news is a responsibility that stems from experiencing God's grace and deliverance. The lepers, upon discovering the abundance in the enemy camp, recognized the urgency of sharing their finding: 'This day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace.' They understood that withholding such life-giving news would lead to inevitable consequences. Similarly, Christians are called to share the gospel, which reflects God's love and grace towards sinners. By doing so, they participate in God's redemptive work and invite others to experience His mercy, thus fulfilling the Great Commission to spread the good news of Christ’s salvation (Matthew 28:19-20).
