Why is it important to trust God's will in difficult times?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting God's will helps us submit to His authority and find peace even amid trials.

True faith cultivates a posture of submission to God's will, especially during challenging times. In the narrative of Lazarus, Martha and Mary showed their trust by simply notifying Jesus of their brother's condition without demanding that He come immediately. Their faith lay in the belief that Jesus knows best and will act for their ultimate good, regardless of their immediate desires. This teaches us that even when we face sickness, heartache, or loss, finding rest in God's providence is vital. We may not always understand His reasons or timing, as evidenced by Martha's doubts when Lazarus had been dead for four days, yet God calls us to align our hearts with His sovereignty. This trust is not the absence of struggle but an active pursuit of faith in His goodness amidst uncertainty.
