Why is it important to trust in Christ as our refuge?

Answered in 2 sources

Trusting in Christ as our refuge is vital because He is the only true source of salvation and eternal security (Galatians 2:16).

Trusting in Christ as our refuge is crucial because He, as the eternal God, has obtained eternal redemption for His people (Hebrews 9:12). Other refuges, such as good works or religious rituals, are deemed refuges of lies as they cannot provide salvation. In Galatians 2:16, we are reminded that justification comes through faith in Christ, not by works of the law. Embracing Christ as our refuge enables believers to rest in the assurance of their salvation, knowing that it is secured by His finished work on the cross, rather than their own efforts.
