Why is it important to understand Christ as the true Redeemer?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding Christ as the true Redeemer is essential because He fulfills all righteousness and enables believers to stand in God's presence.

Recognizing Christ as the true Redeemer is fundamental to Christian faith because He alone meets the conditions set forth in scripture for entering God's presence. Psalm 24 poses the question, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?" and answers it through the lens of Jesus Christ, who uniquely has clean hands and a pure heart. As believers, our ability to approach God relies solely on Christ's redemptive work. Without His righteousness imputed to us, we cannot stand accepted before God. Thus, acknowledging Jesus as our Redeemer allows us to fully appreciate the gospel and our standing before the Father.
