Why is it important to understand God's ability in our faith?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding God's ability strengthens our faith and assures us of His power to save and sustain.

Comprehending God’s ability is fundamental for a steadfast faith. It leads believers to acknowledge that their salvation is anchored in God’s omnipotence. The story of David against Goliath is a prime example. David's confidence stemmed not from his own strength but his belief in the Lord's ability to deliver him from all foes (1 Samuel 17:37). When we grasp that God's competence exceeds every challenge, it fortifies our hope and assurance in His promises. A faith that recognizes God as all-powerful helps us confront fears and trials with confidence that He is ultimately in control and able to deliver us from any peril.
