Why is it important to worship Jesus alone?

Worshiping Jesus alone is vital because He is the only One who deserves reverence and awe, being both God and man. As stated in Psalm 111:9, His name is to be held in holy respect. True worshipers are those who honor God in spirit and truth (John 4:24), which means acknowledging Christ’s role as the sole source of salvation and divine blessing. Acknowledging any other person as worthy of such honor diminishes our devotion to Christ and risks falling into idolatry, violating the central command to worship the one true God.
