Why is it impossible for someone to lose their salvation?

Answered in 1 source

It is impossible for true believers to lose their salvation due to God's sovereign and unchangeable grace.

Scripture teaches that once a person has been genuinely saved, they cannot fall away from that state of grace. In Hebrews 6:4-6, it mentions that if those who have truly experienced the work of the Holy Spirit could fall away, it would be impossible to renew them again to repentance since it would require Christ to be crucified again. The reality of salvation involves regeneration by the Holy Spirit and a transformation in nature that aligns with God’s will. In John 10:28-29, Jesus states that His sheep shall never perish and that no one can snatch them out of His hand. This assurance of eternal security rests not on human effort, but fully on God’s unwavering purpose and power to preserve His elect, reinforcing the doctrine of perseverance of the saints.
