Why is it necessary to believe in Christ for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Belief in Christ is essential because He is the only mediator between God and man.

According to John 14:6, Jesus declares, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' This highlights the necessity of faith in Christ for salvation. The eunuch in Acts 8 exemplifies this truth as he comes to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, thus receiving the assurance of salvation and baptism. Without faith in Christ, one cannot experience the transformative power of His grace, as Christ alone has the authority to atone for sin and reconcile believers to God.
