Why is it significant that God quickens us in Christ?

Being quickened in Christ signifies our spiritual rebirth and the transformative power of salvation.

To be quickened in Christ means to receive spiritual life through His resurrection power. Ephesians 2:4-5 tells us that 'God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive together with Christ.' This reflects the central tenet of sovereign grace theology: that our salvation and renewal are entirely the work of God’s grace, not based on our works. By regenerating us, God enables us to respond to Him in faith, producing fruit in our lives that glorifies Him and demonstrates our new identity.
