Why is it significant that Martha complained to Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Martha's complaint to Jesus reveals her struggle with distraction and her desire for acknowledgment in her service.

Martha's approach to Jesus with her complaint—'Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?'—exposes her inner turmoil and feelings of neglect. It indicates that she was overwhelmed by her responsibilities and felt unsupported. By presenting her complaint directly to Jesus, Martha inadvertently sets an example for believers on where to bring their burdens and frustrations. Rather than directing her grievances towards Mary, she sought the Lord's validation, which is the proper route for addressing distress in our lives. Jesus doesn't dismiss her feelings; instead, He redirects her focus from her burden of service to the need for a restful heart centered on Him.
