Why is it wrong to glory in human wisdom and strength?

Glorying in human wisdom, might, and riches is problematic because it fosters pride and encourages a reliance on self rather than God. In Jeremiah 9:23, the Lord clearly states that we should not boast in these human attributes since they can distort our view of God and lead us away from true worship. The issue lies within the human heart, which is uncircumcised and prone to selfishness, greed, and pride. When we elevate ourselves by our accomplishments, we diminish God's glory and risk facing His judgment. The warning serves as a call to redirect our focus and glorify God instead, recognizing that He is the source of all good gifts.
