Why is Jesus being the servant of God important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus’ role as the servant of God is essential for Christians because He fulfills God's covenant and provides righteousness and atonement.

The importance of Jesus as the servant of God lies in His unique ability to represent humanity to God as our mediator. By becoming a servant, He fulfilled the covenant required by God, allowing for the offering of perfect righteousness on behalf of His people. In Isaiah 42:6, God appointed Jesus to be a covenant for the people, meaning He provides both the means to atone for sin and the righteousness required for salvation. As Christians, we are able to partake in this covenant and receive the benefits of Christ’s servitude, which include forgiveness and eternal life.
