Why is Jesus Christ important in the Gospel?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus Christ is central to the Gospel as He embodies the good news of salvation from God.

In the framework of the Gospel of God, Jesus Christ is depicted not only as the good news itself but also as the fulfillment of God's promises. Romans 1:3-4 portrays Him as the one made of the seed of David according to the flesh, yet declared to be the Son of God with power. This dual nature as both God and man is essential for our salvation, as He is uniquely qualified to represent humanity before God while also satisfying divine justice through His sacrificial death and resurrection. The Gospel, therefore, centers on who Jesus is and what He has accomplished for sinners.
