Why is Jesus' death and resurrection significant for Christians?

The significance of Jesus' death and resurrection cannot be overstated in the Christian faith. His sacrificial death atones for the sins of those who believe in Him, fulfilling the sacrificial system foretold in the Old Testament. Romans 4:25 states, 'He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.' This means that through His resurrection, believers are assured of their own future resurrection and justification before God.
