Why is Jesus' death important?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' death is vital as it serves as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of God's elect.

The importance of Jesus' death lies in its role as a substitutionary sacrifice. According to Galatians 3:13, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. This means that He bore the full weight of our sins, taking our place and facing the wrath of God intended for us. His death satisfied the demands of divine justice, thus allowing salvation and life to be offered freely to all who believe in Him. It is through His death that we find the tree of life, receiving the fruits of forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life.
