Why is Jesus important for understanding our worth as humans?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus exemplifies both the worth and the redemption of humanity, being the ultimate representation of man made perfect.

Jesus is crucial for understanding human worth because He is the perfect man, as described in Hebrews 2:9, 'But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor.' He embodies both our dignity as bearers of God's image and the redemption needed due to our sinful condition. Furthermore, through His sacrificial death, He restores what was lost in Adam, allowing us to see our worth in light of His righteousness. This union with Christ elevates our worth, showing that we are chosen and beloved by God before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
