Why is Jesus our city of refuge?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our city of refuge because He provides a secure place for sinners to find salvation and escape judgment.

In the same way that the cities of refuge were designated safe havens for those in peril, Jesus serves as our refuge from the judgment of God. Hebrews 6:18-20 declares that we have fled for refuge to Him. He is the embodiment of grace, offering safety and assurance to all who believe in Him. Just as those who fled to the cities of refuge found security within their walls, believers find eternal safety in Christ's atoning work and priesthood, which affirms their acceptance before God.
