Why is Jesus' presence important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' presence is vital as it empowers and strengthens believers in their spiritual journey (Matthew 28:20).

In Matthew 28:20, Christ assures His disciples, 'Lo, I am with you always.' This promise embodies the essence of His presence among His followers. The presence of Jesus ignites love and empowers His disciples to fulfill their calling. When we experience His nearness, our capacities for action and grace are enhanced, turning our cold hearts into fiery vessels ready for service. Thus, His promise of presence should prompt us to seek deeper conformity to Him, as it is through sincere desire and earnest prayer that we realize the fullness of His abiding presence.
