Why is Jesus' yoke said to be easy?

In Matthew 11:30, Jesus states, 'For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.' This metaphor illustrates that being joined to Christ provides comfort and sustenance to the soul. Unlike the burdens of sin and legalism, which weigh us down, the yoke of Jesus signifies a relationship built on grace and love. He carries our burdens with us, allowing us to experience fellowship with Him.
