Why is knowing about God's sovereignty important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty brings comfort and assurance that He controls all aspects of our salvation.

The belief in God's sovereignty means recognizing that He is in control of every circumstance, including the trials we face. This assurance provides believers with peace and hope, knowing that nothing can thwart His plans for our salvation (Romans 8:31-39). When Christians understand that their security in Christ is based on His sovereign will rather than their own efforts, they can find comfort and strength in times of tribulation. As Spurgeon noted, the foreknowledge and purpose of God ensures that all will be well for those in Christ.
