Why is knowing Christ's true nature important for Christians?

Understanding the true nature of Christ is vital for Christians because it informs our faith and the entirety of the gospel message. If Christ were not fully God and fully man, He could not fulfill the requirements for redemption set forth by God's law. As stated in Galatians 2:16, justification comes through faith in Christ, not through works. Moreover, our relationship with Christ hinges on recognizing Him as our Mediator—only through Him can we approach the Father. Knowing Him in His fullness allows believers to trust fully in His saving grace and to rest in the assurance that He has satisfied divine justice on our behalf.
