Why is knowing God is my God important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Knowing God as our God assures us of His presence, support, and the eternal promises He has for His people.

Understanding that God is personally our God is foundational to our faith and assurance. In Romans 8:31, it is affirmed, 'If God be for us, who can be against us?' This promise highlights that with God on our side, we have His constant support, protection, and guidance. For Christians, this relationship with God assures us of His sovereignty, grace, and continuous presence in our lives, enabling us to live in peace and confidence amidst trials. Additionally, it confirms that we are part of a covenant community where God dwells among His people and sanctifies them by His glory.
