Why is knowing God loves you important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Knowing God's love provides assurance, peace, and a foundation for our faith and trust in His promises.

Understanding and experiencing the love of God is fundamental for Christians, as it is through this love that we find assurance of our salvation. In Ephesians 2:4-5, we see that God, who is rich in mercy, loves us even when we were dead in our sins, demonstrating that His love is active and saving. This concept is vital because it forms the basis of our hope and peace, reinforcing the conviction that nothing can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:38-39). Recognition of God's love not only comforts us in our struggles but also motivates us to live in obedience and gratitude.
