Why is knowing God's gifts important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding God's gifts is crucial as they reflect our salvation and are meant to be used for His glory and the good of others.

Recognizing and understanding God's gifts is essential for every Christian because these gifts are manifestations of His grace and serve the larger purpose of glorifying Him. In the parable of the unjust steward, we see that each servant was entrusted with talents according to their abilities, illustrating that God equips His people for service. Moreover, faith that is alive and genuine will naturally express itself through good works (James 2:18). This means that the gifts of God, whether they are spiritual insights, material resources, or talents, are to be actively engaged in fulfilling His purposes and building up the body of Christ. Ultimately, we're reminded that we do not work for our salvation but from our salvation, as His workmanship created for good works (Ephesians 2:10).
