Why is knowing God's grace important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Knowing God's grace is vital as it assures believers of their security and identity in Christ.

Understanding God's grace is essential for Christians because it forms the basis of our relationship with Him. In Proverbs 3 and several New Testament passages, grace is depicted as God's unmerited favor toward His chosen people. This grace assures us that we are reconciled with God through Christ’s work, providing us with eternal security. Without recognizing grace, believers might fall into legalism, attempting to earn God's favor through works. Instead, acknowledging that our righteousness comes solely through God's grace allows us to live in freedom, motivated by love rather than fear, and encourages us to extend grace to others as we navigate our relationships.
