Why is knowing our burdens important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding our burdens allows us to appreciate the grace offered through Christ (Matthew 11:28).

Awareness of our spiritual burdens is crucial for Christians as it leads to a deeper understanding of our need for Christ’s redemptive work. The burden of sin can weigh heavily on the conscience, leading to despair and a realization of our inability to earn salvation through works. This realization clears the way for the gospel's message—that Christ, in His grace, provides relief and rest from those burdens. By coming to Him, Christians acknowledge their state and embrace the unmerited favor He offers.
