Why is knowing our need for Christ important?

Answered in 2 sources

Recognizing our need for Christ is vital because it drives us to seek His salvation and grace.

The realization of our desperate need for Christ is foundational to the Christian faith. Without acknowledging our condition as sinners, we remain unaware of the necessity of seeking divine mercy and forgiveness. As articulated in Romans 5:12, sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and death through sin; thus, we are in dire need of a Savior to address this fallen state. Recognizing this need transforms how we approach God—understanding that we cannot save ourselves but must rely entirely on Christ for redemption. This awareness fosters humility and a desire for genuine repentance, ultimately leading to a restored relationship with God.
