Why is looking to Christ important for revival?

Answered in 1 source

Looking to Christ is vital for revival as it affirms faith in His sufficiency for salvation and restoration.

Looking to Christ is fundamental in the process of revival. When Israelites were instructed to gaze at the bronze serpent, it symbolized their need to look beyond their circumstances to God’s provision. In a similar fashion, believers are called to look to Jesus, who was lifted up for our salvation, requiring faith that acknowledges His role as Savior. This directs them away from self-reliance and toward recognizing that He is the only means by which they can be revived and restored to full spiritual life. Acts of turning towards Christ reflects true faith and reliance on His completed work.
