Why is looking to God important in times of trouble?

Answered in 1 source

Looking to God reminds us that He is our source of help and strength in times of trouble (Psalm 121:1).

In times of trouble, looking to God is crucial as He is our ultimate source of help and comfort. Psalm 121 begins with the psalmist stating, 'I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.' This act of looking up signifies a shift in perspective, away from our fears and troubles, and towards the power and care of our Creator. Knowing that God is always watching over us, alive and aware, empowers us to face our trials with faith rather than fear. As we lift our eyes to Him, we are reminded of His sovereignty and our dependence on His grace, which sustains us through every storm.
