Why is love emphasized among Christians?

Christ emphasized love as fundamental to Christian living, commanding His followers in John 13:34 to 'love one another as I have loved you.' This love is not a mere obligation but a reflection of the grace we have received from God. It's through our love for one another that we exhibit our identity as His disciples. The experiential knowledge of God's love fills our hearts, enabling us to reach out in genuine affection and support to our fellow believers.
