Why is loving God's glory important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Loving God's glory is important as it aligns our hearts with His purposes and affirms our devotion to Him.

Loving God's glory is crucial because it reflects our understanding of His supreme authority and worth. When we genuinely love His honor, we desire to see Christ exalted and revered above all else. This love drives us to detest anything that diminishes His glory and pushes us to proclaim His greatness. Moreover, it shapes our lives and motives, ensuring that our actions glorify Him rather than ourselves. As John the Baptist exemplified, true love for Christ must include a willingness to decrease so that He may increase (John 3:30).
