Why is loving others important in the Christian faith?

Answered in 1 source

Loving others fulfills the law of God and demonstrates our faith in Christ (Romans 13:8).

Loving others is foundational to the Christian faith as it is the fulfillment of God's law. As stated in Romans 13:8, we are to owe nothing to anyone but love, for love fulfills the commands of God. When we love others, we are recognizing their value and dignity as created in God's image, reflecting His love towards us. Additionally, love is a testimony to the grace of God at work in our hearts and plays a vital role in witnessing to the world the nature of Christ's Kingdom, where love triumphs over strife and division.
