Why is mercy important in a Christian’s life?

Answered in 1 source

Mercy is essential as it reflects the character of Christ and our response to His grace.

Mercy is crucial in a Christian's life because it embodies the essence of God's grace shown to us through Christ. The sermon illustrates that just as the Good Samaritan showed compassion to the wounded man, believers are called to demonstrate mercy in their interactions with others. Understanding that our salvation is rooted in God's mercy compels us to extend that same mercy to those around us, regardless of their circumstances. As Christians, our practice of mercy should stem from a heart transformed by God’s mercy towards us, inspiring us to serve and love others without expectation of reward, just as Christ has loved us.
