Why is obedience to God crucial for Christians?

Obedience to God is rooted in our relationship with Him. As Jesus proclaimed in John 14:15, 'If you love me, keep my commands.' This obedience signifies our trust in God’s wisdom and authority over our lives. Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to the king’s edict to worship false idols, Christians today are called to honor God above all earthly powers. In doing so, we align ourselves with God's will, ensuring that our lives bring Him glory. Obeying God may sometimes lead us into trials, but we can rest assured that He is with us in those moments, just as He was with these faithful men in the fire.
