Why is prayer essential for Christians?

In Christian life, prayer is more than simply making requests known to God; it is fundamentally an act of worship and acknowledging God's sovereign control over all aspects of life. Jesus taught His disciples to pray, emphasizing the holiness of God and the need to seek His will (Matthew 6:9-10).
