Why is prayer important during temptations?

In times of temptation, prayer serves as both a means of support and a weapon against the enemy. Hebrews 4:16 encourages believers to approach the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. When we are tempted, our inclination may be to withdraw from prayer due to despair; however, it is precisely during these moments that earnest prayer becomes crucial. The Lord's Prayer emphasizes seeking divine help and protection from evil. Thus, in prayer, we acknowledge our dependence on God and invoke His strength against the adversary.
