Why is prayer important in seeking God's help?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is vital as it expresses our dependence on God and invites His intervention in our lives.

In Mark 9:28-29, Jesus tells His disciples that certain kinds of spiritual challenges can only be overcome through prayer and fasting. This underscores the necessity of seeking God earnestly when faced with overwhelming situations. Prayer is an act of humility, acknowledging our limitations and reliance on God's strength. It fosters a relationship where we communicate our needs and receive divine assistance. The Scriptures encourage us to pray continuously and with faith, confident that God hears our cries and will respond according to His will. Prayer cultivates our faith and invites God's power to act in our circumstances.
