Why is prayer important in the work of the church?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is essential for empowering the work of the church and for the successful preaching of the gospel.

Prayer serves as the backbone of effective ministry. Jesus instructed His disciples to pray for laborers to be sent into the harvest, indicating that prayer is vital for spiritual work. A believer's prayer life reflects their dependence on God's grace to achieve what they cannot accomplish on their own. As we engage in ministry, prayer becomes our most powerful weapon to seek God’s will, align our hearts, and humble ourselves before Him in our efforts to serve His kingdom.
