Why is purity in worship essential for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Purity in worship is essential as it aligns with God's holiness and ensures that our worship is acceptable to Him.

Purity in worship is fundamentally tied to God's character. He is a holy and jealous God who has outlined the parameters for worship to maintain its sanctity. This is evident in passages like Leviticus 10, where unauthorized worship led to severe consequences for Nadab and Abihu. Such examples reflect that God has set specific boundaries for how He wishes to be approached and worshiped. In essence, the purity of our worship protects the integrity of our relationship with God, reminding us that our worship must reflect His holiness and not be influenced by human tradition or preference. Only through pure worship can we hope to please God and benefit from the fullness of our communion with Him.
