Why is recognizing Jesus as King important for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Recognizing Jesus as King is essential for salvation because it acknowledges His authority over our lives.

Acknowledging Jesus as King is fundamental to understanding the Gospel. It reflects a recognition of His sovereign authority, which is vital for salvation. The rebellion against God’s king reflects humanity’s natural inclination to resist His dominion. Jesus, in His kingship, laid down His life and offers redemption to those who submit to Him. It is through bowing to His authority and acknowledging Him as sovereign that we find true peace and forgiveness, as our rebellion is dealt with at the cross.
