Why is righteousness through Christ important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Righteousness through Christ is essential as it is the only means by which sinners can be justified before God.

The righteousness of God is crucial for Christians because it is through Christ alone that we gain acceptance before God. Romans 3 proclaims that the righteousness of God is manifested apart from the law and is attained through faith in Jesus Christ. This righteousness is not based on our efforts or compliance with the law, which we cannot achieve, but is instead a gift given through faith. As believers, understanding that we cannot produce righteousness on our own highlights our dependency on Christ, who fulfilled all righteousness for His people. Therefore, embracing this truth propels us into a deeper relationship with Him and compels us to share the gospel with others.
