Why is salvation through Christ considered marvelous?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation through Christ is marvelous because it is accomplished wholly by His grace and righteousness, not by our own works.

Salvation is regarded as marvelous because it encompasses the incredible truth that God became man in Jesus Christ to save sinners. He lived a perfect, sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, and rose again, overcoming death. These acts reveal God's grace and mercy, as they display not only His justice but also His love for His chosen people. As Psalm 98:2 states, 'the Lord hath made known his salvation,' it is a revelation of His marvelous works toward humanity, inviting us to respond in worship and thanksgiving.
