Why is salvation through Jesus Christ essential for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation through Jesus Christ is essential because He is the only mediator who reconciles humanity to God and offers eternal life.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is vital for every believer as He is the sole mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Christ's unique role as the Savior highlights that all are in need of His grace to escape judgment and attain eternal life. No other means or paths can offer the reconciliation that is provided through His sacrifice on the cross. In Jude's emphasis on contending for the faith, it becomes clear that this salvation is to be protected and cherished, for it is the very hope that believers possess. Those united with Christ through faith experience His mercy, peace, and love, marking the beginning of everlasting life through Him.
