Why is seeking refuge in Christ important for believers?

Believers must seek refuge in Christ because He is our true sanctuary from the perils of sin and eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:18-19 states, 'That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.' This highlights that our hope and safety are firmly secured in Christ. As a strong tower, He provides protection against spiritual threats such as the world, the flesh, and the devil. It reveals the necessity of running to Him continuously, especially in times of trouble, ensuring that we do not become complacent or distracted by life's challenges.
