Why is serving the Lord with fervency important?

Answered in 1 source

Serving the Lord with fervency reflects our commitment to Him and our desire to fulfill our gifts and calling (Romans 12:11).

In Romans 12:11, Paul encourages believers to not be slothful in business but to be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. This fervency is indicative of our sincere desire to serve God wholeheartedly, recognizing that each of us has been gifted for His purposes. A lack of fervency often leads to complacency and missed opportunities to glorify God through service. The call to serve with zeal reminds us that our daily actions and interactions can genuinely be an act of worship and obedience, thereby bringing glory to God.
