Why is sharing the gospel necessary for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Sharing the gospel is necessary because it reveals humanity's need for salvation and God's provision for it.

The necessity of preaching the gospel arises from the revelation of God's wrath against sin and the pervasive need for salvation among humanity. As articulated in Romans 1:18, the wrath of God is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. This dire reality underscores the urgency for Christians to share the gospel, as it contains the message of hope and redemption. Furthermore, as believers, we are commanded to share the love of Christ and the truth of the gospel with others to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). It is only through the gospel that individuals can understand their sinful state, experience God's grace, and be reconciled to Him. Thus, the gospel is not only the foundation of our faith but also a vital message that needs to be shared with the world.
