Why is singing accurate truths important in church?

Answered in 1 source

Singing truths that reflect God's character is vital for right worship and spiritual growth.

In our times of worship, singing praises to God must reflect absolute truths about His character and works. The integrity of what we sing is crucial, for our hymns are reflections of our faith and the experiences of God's people. When we engage in worship, we are called to declare not only the greatness of God but also the realities of our experiences with Him. As seen in Psalm 96:1-3, our songs should be a testament to His glory, inviting others to witness and ascribe worth to Him together with us. Promoting accuracy and depth in our singing fosters a community anchored in truth, driven by sincere faith, and growing in knowledge of the Lord.
